IMPORTANT: Several open access publishing agreements (PLOS, Cambridge, Elsevier, Oxford, Sage, Taylor & Francis and Wiley) are up for renewal at the end of 2026. You can find details on current APC coverage here. While we will provide updates as negotiations progress, please consider timelines and explore other funding options if needed, as eligibility is typically based on acceptance date. To qualify for support the Corresponding Author must be affiliated with McMaster University. Use your @mcmaster.ca email.
If prompted, select either the CRKN or OCUL Consortium to receive APC (Article Processing Charges) discounts.
Who Pays? APCs are partially (e.g. 10%) or fully covered by the Library. *A research rebate for the HST applies if the expense goes through the research fund/project.
