UVic Libraries works with publishers to arrange waivers and discounts on article processing charges (APCs). Through these agreements, members of the UVic community can publish open access articles in select journals at reduced cost. Learn more about Support for Open Access Publishing (SOAP) at UVic Libraries.
Use this Journal Search Tool to find an APC waiver or discount.
If your journal is not on the list, either there is no waiver or discount available or the journal does not charge APCs.

How to claim a waiver or discount
These APC waivers are available to corresponding authors with a current UVic affiliation.
You must use your @uvic.ca email when submitting.
Library 100% means that the APC is fully waived. Library 25% or Library 10% means that the APC is partially waived. Authors are responsible for paying the discounted APC.
The library makes every effort to provide accurate information, but publishers make periodic changes. Authors should confirm their eligibility for APC waivers with the journal before submission.
